All of my bead and wire flowers are made using techniques of ganutell, but often I enjoy creating flowers with a more contemporary, whimsical feel than traditional ganutell. I have to say this flower makes me very happy. It’s full of major bling; oval and bicone crystals form the center, with small plain petals underneath. The large petals each contain two teardrop crystals. The entire flower measures over three inches across – quite large for this type of art.
I don’t know yet where I’ll use it, but it’ll the the focal piece of the project, for sure. It’s light and very, very sparkly, and … well, who doesn’t like purple???
